Westgreen Medical and Mann Eye Institute take LEED to Katy
Fehr Grossman Cox announces the grand opening of Westgreen Medical, a multi-tenant medical office building at 750 Westgreen Boulevard in Katy, Texas. The building was originally designed to achieve LEED CS Silver Certification. Due to the commitment of the Owner and building team to lessen the environmental impact of the project, however, additional LEED points were obtained during design and construction such that now LEED Gold Certification is anticipated. The project’s anchor tenant is the Mann Eye Institute which occupies the entire ground floor. Mann Eye consists of a Lasik center, clinic space and a TDSHS-licensed, four operating room Ambulatory Surgery Center and is now open for business.

My Role: I was responsible for the production of architectural drawings all throughout schematic design, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with the design team. I handled coordination between engineers, General Contractors, SME's, lighting consultants, and vendors. Submittal of construction documents for ADA review. Among my other responsibilities was acting as assistant project manager during construction administration where I collaborated with different fields to ensure quality assurance and accuracy of the construction.
